Sebring has always been a place people choose on purpose. Founded in 1912 and built around Circle Drive, it is still known as “The City on the Circle” — the kind of downtown where people recognise each other. Families come to Highlands County for the lakes and the quiet, and they stay. Compassionate Choice provides warm, reliable, non-medical companion and homemaker care in Sebring, so your loved one can keep the home, the routine, and the neighbourhood they know.
Part of why the need here is real: the median age in Highlands County is 54, and a great many households in and around Sebring are older adults living independently — and wanting to keep it that way. Whether your family is near the Circle, out toward Lake Jackson, or in one of the quieter pockets closer to Highlands Hammock, the goal is almost never to move. It is to stay.
What companion care in Sebring looks like
Our care is non-medical by design. It focuses on the everyday things that keep someone safe, fed, and good company for themselves — the tier of help most families need first, long before anything clinical.
Honest about distance
We are based in Lakeland, and Sebring is a genuine distance from us. We would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. Highlands County is inside our AHCA-registered service area and we are glad to talk with any family here — and part of that first conversation is being straight with you about the schedule we can reliably keep. If we are not the right fit for your situation, we will tell you that too.
What we do not do
We do not provide skilled nursing or medical care, and we do not drive clients. Where transportation is needed we can help arrange it, and a companion can accompany your loved one on the trip.
Starting small
Most families begin with a few hours a week — a standing visit that gives everyone a breath. There is no minimum contract to sign before you find out whether it helps.
