Compassionate, Non-Medical Companion Care
Home is where the stories are. Where the photographs sit on the mantle, where the morning light hits just right, where life still feels familiar. We help your loved one stay there — safely, comfortably, and never alone — with the kind of gentle, everyday care you wish you could give yourself.

About Us
At Compassionate Choice, we started this company because we saw too many situations where people were not being cared for the way they deserved. That experience moved us to create a company that puts real compassion first.
We provide dedicated home companions, reliable errand assistance, and personalized non-medical support so individuals can live safely and comfortably in their own homes. Every team member is carefully chosen and trained to uphold our core values — and we don’t just provide a service. We deliver genuine care that our clients and their families can trust. Proudly serving Lakeland, Florida and the surrounding communities.

Meet the Founder
I’m a proud mother of four well-raised, caring children — and a grandmother of seven. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been the one reaching out, showing up, lending a hand without ever thinking of myself first. It’s just who I am — and I plan to keep doing it for as long as I can, which I hope is a very, very long time.
When I’m not with the people I love, you’ll find me hunting for antiques, listening to someone’s life story over a cup of coffee, or simply being the hand to hold for someone who needs one. Love is the only thing I’ve ever known how to lead with — and the people who feel that are the families I want to care for.
That’s why I started Compassionate Choice. When you reach out, you’ll talk to me. I’ll listen to your family’s story before I say a word about ours, and I’ll personally make sure your loved one is paired with a caregiver who treats them like their own.

Talk With KristinaHow We Help
As life slows down, the little tasks can get heavier. We carry that weight for your loved one, gently and gladly — so each day can feel a little lighter, a little warmer, a little more like home.
Real conversation, shared hobbies, slow walks, card games, reading aloud, looking through old photos together. The simple moments that turn an ordinary day into a good one.
A warm hand at mealtime — heating up a favorite dish, putting together a sandwich, pouring a cup of tea, and making sure nothing gets skipped. If something a little more special is wanted, just ask — we’ll see what we can do.
The four-legged ones are family, too. We’ll keep food and water bowls fresh, slip a treat into a furry paw, brush a coat, and offer a gentle pat — because a beloved pet keeps the heart young, and they deserve looking after right alongside their person.
Grocery runs and pharmacy pickups are at the heart of what we help with. We’ll happily go and pick up prescriptions, groceries, and everyday essentials and bring them right to the door — so your loved one stays comfortable at home and never runs out of what they need.
The simple, steady upkeep of a home — dishes, laundry, sweeping, and mopping. Quiet, careful work, done with the same care we’d want for our own family’s home.
A kind, watchful presence through the quiet hours. We soften the lamps, make sure water is by the bedside, and stay close so rest comes easy — and so the family can finally sleep, too, knowing someone caring is right there until morning.
We help arrange rides via GoGoGrandparent, Lyft, Uber Health, and local senior shuttles. A companion accompanies your loved one for the trip. (We do not drive clients ourselves.)
Don’t see what you need? Just ask. If it’s within our heart and our hands, we’ll help.
All services are non-medical companion and homemaker support. We do not provide nursing or medical care, medication administration, or hands-on personal care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, or transferring.
Who We Serve
You’ve worked hard, raised a family, and built a home full of meaning. We’re here so you can keep enjoying it — with help on the tougher days, and good company on the easier ones.
You’re juggling work, your own family, and the quiet worry that comes with loving an aging parent. Let us be the steady, kind presence on the days you can’t be there — and the trusted call when something feels off.
Miles apart shouldn’t mean out of touch. We’ll be your eyes, your hands, and your warm hello at the door — with regular updates, so you always know how Mom or Dad is really doing.
After a hospital stay or a hard stretch, everyday support like meals, light housekeeping, and gentle company at home can make the days easier — alongside the medical care your loved one receives from their own doctors and nurses.

Every day looks a little different, because every person is. But here’s a glimpse of what time with one of our companions might feel like — from the quiet of the night to the warmth of the next evening.
As the world quiets, we’re there — softening the lamps, making sure water is by the bedside, checking that doors are locked. A gentle, watchful presence through the night, so rest comes easy and the family can sleep, too.
As the night gives way to dawn, the kettle goes on. Coffee or tea brewing, a warm breakfast on the table when they’re ready, and a soft chat about how the night went, the news, the grandkids’ latest pictures.
A gentle walk if the weather is kind. Some light tidying around the kitchen. Maybe a load of laundry while we visit, or a little time with a beloved pet.
Something warm and familiar at the table — a bowl of soup, a sandwich on the good plates, leftovers from yesterday — shared together, slowly.
Errands if there are any — a prescription picked up, a quick grocery run, while your loved one rests comfortably at home. Otherwise: a puzzle, a favorite show, a phone call to a grandchild we help dial.
A tidy of the kitchen, lights checked, doors locked. A warm goodbye for the day — or a quiet hello for the night — and always a note for the family so you know exactly how the day went.
Why Families Choose Us
Every companion is background-checked, interviewed in person, and trained in respectful, person-centered care. We hire for heart first.
We thoughtfully pair clients with caregivers based on personality, interests, and daily rhythm — so the relationship has room to grow into real friendship.
Whenever possible, your loved one sees the same caregiver each visit. Consistency builds comfort, and comfort builds trust.
A few hours a week, full days, weekends, or 24/7 support — we shape a plan around your family’s real life, and we’ll adjust as needs change.
You’ll always know how things are going. Visit notes, regular check-ins, and a real person on the other end of the phone when you call.
We’re small, local, and personal — not a national chain. When you call, you reach someone who already cares about your family.
She doesn’t feel alone anymore. Knowing someone kind is with Mom each afternoon — reading with her, laughing with her, helping her stay in the home she loves — has given our whole family back our peace of mind.
