Polk County Senior Resources Guide

If you're caring for an aging parent, spouse, or neighbor in Polk County — or looking for a little more support for yourself — you don't have to figure it all out alone. This guide gathers the real, trusted help available across Lakeland, Winter Haven, Bartow, Auburndale, Haines City, Lake Wales, and the rest of Polk County: from meals and rides to Medicare guidance, caregiver support, and 24/7 crisis lines. Every number here connects you to a real person or a stable, well-established service. When you're not sure where to start, the two easiest first calls are the Florida Elder Helpline at 1-800-963-5337 and 2-1-1 — both free, and both staffed by people whose whole job is to point you the right way.

Please note: Please verify current details before you rely on them. Phone numbers, hours, addresses, eligibility rules, and availability change over time, so confirm directly with each organization when you call. This guide is provided by Compassionate Choice Home Services LLC purely as a free community resource — it is not medical, legal, or financial advice, and it is not an endorsement of any specific provider. Listing a memory care or assisted living community here is not a recommendation; families should tour, compare several options, and confirm current pricing and services for themselves. In an emergency, always call 911.
